Denton a village in South Norfolk, England

Food & Drink

Denton residents enjoy the finer things in life and, best of all, sharing such experiences with other members of the community.
As per the Village Motto, any excuse for eating and drinking together is welcomed, sometimes on a regular basis, sometimes when a suitable reason presents itself. The regular occasions are outlined below.

Community Coffee Mornings

In the past light refreshments were provided at the Post Office held every Thursday morning in the Vestry at the Chapel. The PO is currently suspended, but the refreshments live on.
Coffee, tea and cakes are provided and modest donations towards the cost appreciated.
10.00 to 12.00 - All Welcome.

The Bar

The Village Hall Bar, instituted more than 30 years ago when the last pub in the village closed, and upgraded several times since, provides a wonderful venue for residents to enjoy liquid refreshment at remarkably low prices.
It is normally open every Friday evening but is brought into use for a wide range of village activities.
Officially run by the Bowls & Social Club, further details can be found on the Village Hall Page.

Last Fridays

Once a month on a Friday, normally the last in the month, a two-course evening meal is provided in the Village Hall at a very reasonable price.
Further details can be found on the Last Friday Page.

Pizza Nights

Also, normally on the second Friday of the month, the Bella Ciao Mobile Pizza Van visits the Village Hall Car Park on a regular basis.
It is there from 6 pm to 9 pm. The pizze can be eaten in the Hall or taken home.
Details are circulated on DentonTalk.

Tuesday Lunch Club

Designed mainly for those residents who are not keen on evening functions, but open to all, lunches are provided on a regular basis normally on the second Tuesday of the month.
Further details can be found on the Lunch Club Page
