Chocolate Chip Cookies
The Recipe
Ingredients
- 75g butter, softened,
- 75g granulated sugar,
- 75g soft brown sugar,
- A few drops of vanilla essence,
- 1 egg,
- 175g self-raising flour, sifted,
- Pinch of salt,
- 50g Chopped Walnuts,
- 100g Milk Chocolate chips.
Method
To make the cookies:
Grease two baking sheets and pre-heat oven to 180. (Adjust for fan ovens according to your oven instructions)
- Cream butter and sugars together with the vanilla essence,
- Beat in egg,
- Gently fold in sifted flour and salt with the chocolate chips and walnuts,
- Drop equal spoonfuls of the mix on to the baking sheet – spread well apart. You should get twenty spoons of mix to make 20 cookies,
- Bake at 180 for 12-15 mins,
- Allow to cool on the baking sheet for one minute,
- Gently remove the cookies to a wire rack with a spatula or fish slice to finish cooling.
