Frances Durack, 1916 - 2020.

Frances Durack lived in Denton for 42 years. She died peacefully at home on December 31st, 2020 aged 94. She was a much loved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend and neighbour.She led a wonderfully varied life that took her from Ireland to India, and back to Britain. She served as a WREN in the Second World War. She took a dress-makers course before marrying husband Paddy. They were happily married for 34 years and travelled round the country and world before settling in Norfolk.
Her needle skills were invaluable for making toy felt bunnies and other gifts for a small family business. She was better known for her cake and baking skills at home and for the Country Markets. She was a WI member and loved gardening.
Most of all she was a homemaker and loved her family and friends. She will be greatly missed.
