Another Commemoration
Another CommemorationOn 11th August Victory in Europe was followed by Victory over Japan, the end of the war in the Far East.
A ceremony was held on the Playing Field to unveil a Plaque next to a tree planted on the North side of the field. The tree itself had been planted 1995 to commemorate the part played by soldiers from this parish in the war against Japan.
The original Plaque had been renovated for this ceremony. The ceremony included readings and a dedication from Rev’d Chris Hutton.
