Denton really hit the headlines following a great fund-raising project organised by Paul and Karen Wilby.
Media coverage spread from a report in the local EDP newspaper to national TV exposure.
That last word is very appropriate as everything was based on the creation and publication of a very special 2025 Calendar.
It included part of the team eventually appearing, in role, on ITV's "This Morning" programme.
Fourteen brave Denton lads agreed to be photograhed, naked, to appear on the monthly pages of the calendar. The pictures were, very discreetly, taken by our star local photo expert, Mark Richards, so the exposure was suitably limited and no offence caused.
Thanks to all the publicity, sales of the calendar have rocketed, reprinting has been required. More important a very large sum has been raised for Addenbrooke's and Papworth Hospitals.
