Denton Parish Council

Minutes of the Planning Meeting Held on Monday 5th December 2011

at 7pm at Denton Village Hall

Present: Liz Cargill (Chairman), Terry Hanner (Vice Chairman), Peter Hill, Adrian Hipwell, Pauline Sandell (Clerk).

1. Apologies
Roger Gibson, Wayne Mayhew.

2. Declaration of Interest
None.

3. 3. Planning Application – 2011/1779 Thanksgiving Cottage; to cut into hedge in the SW corner of the land behind the cottage and to put in a pedestrian gate for access onto the path.
After some discussion it was unanimously agreed that the following comments should be made:
Denton Parish Council is, in principle, in favour of the application. However, it would only approve the application if the landowner, Mr. Lambert, owner of the land that the gate would open on to, is notified and asked for his permission to access his field and is asked for permission to cut into the hedge which is believed to belong to Mr. Lambert and is on his side of the ditch. This is contrary to the application details. One further condition of approval would be for the proposed gate to be changed for a pedestrian 5 bar field gate which would be more in keeping with the environment.

The meeting finished at 7.25pm
