Agenda for the Annual Meeting of the Council

To be held at the Village Hall on Tuesday 13th May 2025 following the Annual Parish Meeting'

  1. Welcome by the Chairman.
  2. To receive and accept apologies from members unable to attend.
  3. To elect the Chairman – Chairman to sign the declaration of acceptance of office.
  4. To elect the vice-chair.
  5. To consider accepting apologies for absence.
  6. To receive declarations of interest on items on the agenda.
  7. To approve and sign the minutes of the last meeting held on 11th March, 2025.
  8. Open forum for Public Participation (maximum 10 minutes): an opportunity to hear from members of the public.
  9. To discuss matters arising from the minutes of the last meeting which are not on the agenda.
  10. To receive the reports from the County and District Councillors.
  11. To receive updates on items from the minutes of the last meeting:
    • Sale of Shredder,
    • Broadband in the village – update from Cllr Kerr,
    • Saffron Housing Parking,
    • Anglian Water sewer problem.
  12. To receive Playingfield report and discuss sorting/cleaning of The Coal House on the playing field.
  13. To discuss Health and Safety Policies provided by Cllr Edwards.
  14. To discuss and comment on Planning Applications received and related matters.
  15. Finance: To approve payments to be made:
    Clerk Salary,
    The Rogerson Trust for rental of playing fields for 2019 and 2025,
    Spending of Coronation Grant money.
  16. To approve the Annual Governance Statement 2024/25,
    The Accounting Statements and Certificate of Exemption for submission to the external auditor PKF Littlejohn
  17. To approve the continuation of the following policies: Standing Orders and Financial Regulations.
  18. Any Other Business.
    For discussion/information only, the council may not make decisions on these items.
  19. To agree items for the next meeting to be held on 8th July, 2025 at 7.30pm.
  20. Close of meeting.
