Most houses in Denton rely on oil as a source of energy for heating. A syndicate has been set up to take advantage of bulk buying arrangements. Approximately every two months members of the syndicate can request a top-up visit from a tanker. A pre-arranged delivery run round the two villages is then organised for all those that need fuel.
Significantly lower prices are available because of the scale of the order and the resulting time and travelling savings for the supplier.
