Rights Of Way
There is an extensive network of footpaths and bridleways in the parish, including routes through Rogerson's Wood and Websdill's Wood. Until recently there was also a considerable area of semi-permanent set-aside land with permissive access but most of this has now been returned to cultivation. However as well as the permanent routes there are several farmland stewardship schemes which provide access to field headlands.
Many people still consider Denton to be a riders' and walkers' paradise.
The Community Paths information board with a map of all the paths is located in the car park of the playing field.
An excellent new interactive map is now available on-line on the County Council's Countyside Access site. This allows you check all the footpaths and bridleways in the village, and much further afield, in great detail.
