Some basic information about the village of Denton, Norfolk.
- The village lies on the southern edge of the county of Norfolk in the South Norfolk District Council area.
- One of 120 parishes in the district (and more than 700 in the county), it shares boundaries with: Earsham, Bedingham, Topcroft, Hempnall and Alburgh in Norfolk plus Homersfield and Flixton across the River Waveney in Suffolk.

- Electorate - At the start of 2009/10, in December, the civil parish had 311 voters, living in 158 dwellings, on its electoral register but with the rolling register system this changes during the year.
By the day of the General Election on May 6th it had increased to 315, 33 of whom had elected to vote by post. - Area - 1,011 hectares, 2,498 acres.
- Highest point (ground level) - 52.6 metres above mean sea level, the Trig Point on the parish boundary north of Darrow Green.
- Lowest point - the river Waveney at the most south-easterly point on the parish boundary , normally approximately 15 metres above mean sea level.
