Located in Denton County, it has a population (2007) of 105,550. Links were established between Denton, Norfolk and Denton, Texas in 2000 during the Millenium celebrations. A number of American Red Oak trees were planted in Rogerson's Wood to commemorate this linkage.

- Denton County, Texas
A county forming part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. It is one of the fastest-growing counties in the United States. Its population grew from 432,976 recorded in the 2000 census to an officially estimated 612,357 in 2007. The county seat is the City of Denton (see above). The county and the city are both named after John B. Denton (1806-1841) who was a preacher, lawyer and soldier.
